Why does grooming take so long?

Grooming is a process. Our salon specifically works as a team in order for your pet to become acquainted with everyone on staff. With salons that function as a team, it is common for your pet to not start the grooming process immediately after check-in as we work our way down the list of previously scheduled appointments. It takes time for bathing, drying, and grooming while providing customer service in the lobby or through phone inquiries.

Ensuring the safety of your pet and the groomer’s well-being is the most important. This is an unknown environment where unexpected factors can determine the timing on the pet. We try our best to refrain from giving a pickup time and calling to check on your pet because the pets are live animals and each scheduled day brings new challenges and breeds of dogs that need our full attention.  An average amount of time you can expect is anywhere between 3 to 5 hours for small dogs and 4 to 6 for large. This can be less or more but depends entirely up to your pet and the pets ahead of them. We do ask our clients refrain from showing up because your pet loves you! They will want to go home with you. We want your pet to be safe as well as our groomers. Pet grooming takes skill and focuses of both your pet and the groomer working on them as the equipment we use is incredibly sharp in order to get the best finish possible.
