Puppy's First Groom

Congratulations! A new puppy is an exciting addition!

Puppy grooming in Fort Wayne, is one of our specialties! We focus on creating a positive first grooming experience that sets the foundation for lifelong success. Your puppy will be introduced into a new environment complete with new sounds, smells, tools, and handling which will be drastically different from their experience in your own personal home. After first and second rounds of vaccinations (including rabies) has been administered, we encourage you to schedule your pup for its first appointment.

There are two packages available for puppies first groom, one reserved for shedding breeds and the other reserved for non-shedding breeds who will need clipped down regularly on a 6-8 week basis once they are fully grown.

For non-shedding breeds, we do not encourage puppies to be cut down until our groomer's feel your puppy will be able to handle the process of a full haircut, as this can create additional stress and potential for future negative association with being groomed due to overstimulation. All puppies are encouraged to be scheduled for 4 week appointments until we are certain they are comfortable and confident with the grooming process. After they get the hang of the process a 6 week schedule is recommended.
